Corporate Social Networker HiveLive Sold To RightNow For $6 Million

RightNow + HiveLive

HiveLive, a startup that provides social networking tools to corporations, has been sold to RightNow for $6 million in cash. That figure does not appear to include any return for HiveLive’s investors, considering that the company had raised a total of $7.8 million in venture funding, including a $5.6 million first round a year-and-a-half ago. With HiveLive’s platform, companies can set up online communities for their customers. RightNow provides customer relationship management software and says it will now be able to meet the needs of customers who are “clamoring for more social web functionality.” Release.
