It’s a pretty safe bet that Verizon is clearing shelves to make room for a handful of new handsets. After all, its leaked road map shows an updated BlackBerry Storm, a new Curve, and the anticipated Sholes — quite possibly, the Android handset expected at our Mobilize 09 conference. So what’s a carrier to do when so many hot, new handsets are about to arrive? It has an inventory reduction sale, of course!
Phone Arena says the sale is already on and that the original BlackBerry Storm — widely considered Verizon’s current flagship phone — can be had for just $49.99 with a contract right now. That deal also ties in with Verizon’s already-in-progress “Buy One, Get One” offering. Fifty bucks can actually net you two Storms, or a combination of one Storm and one other BlackBerry. Curious about the Storm before you drop $50 for one? Hit up the video review that James put together when the Storm arrived in November.
