Locally-focused marketing technology startup Balihoo has raised $7 million in a third round of funding. New investor OpenView Venture Partners led the round, with participation from previous backers Highway 12 Ventures and Lacuna Gap Capital. The Boise, Idaho-based startup has raised just over $12.5 million in funding since its inception in 2006.
Balihoo offers automated ad creation, planning and analytics tools for big brands that want to run local on- and offline campaigns; clients include Quiznos and Carpet One. The company plans to use the new funding for sales and marketing. Release.
