Motorola (NYSE: MOT) has said it will launch two handsets based on the Android operating system in time for the busy fourth-quarter shopping blitz, and over the past few months, it has been busy recruiting developers to create applications for their devices.
Now some of the first signs of a launch are emerging. Today, Motorola emailed invitations to reporters to hear more about its strategy on Sept. 10 in San Francisco. The message was short and to the point: Save the date: Sept. 10, San Francisco. An Android robot logo happily sat in the corner.
