Multimedia content tracking and ID service Audible Magic has raised $1.28 million worth of funding, per an SEC filing. The company is calling it a “small inside round” that was backed by “current investors.” Audible Magic previously raised funding from Florida Silicon Partners and Tierra Del Oro; it will use the new money for product development and marketing.

Founded in 1999, Los Gatos, Calif.-based Audible Magic has evolved into one of the primary video and audio fingerprinting services for various record labels (including Warner, *Sony* BMG and EMI), video sites (like VideoEgg and YouTube) and institutions like the University of Chicago. Competitors include Anvato, and AT&*T* and Disney-backed Vobile.
