Copying Mixmag, whose publisher bought the social network in April, dance music mag M8 Magazine is acquiring, a social network-based clubbers’ hub, in an effort to go more digital.

M8, which has been going for 21 years, is now abandoning its own name and rebranding to Tilllate – available in print, via the existing website and through a £1 digital edition download. started nine years ago, claims 2.5 million monthly uniques and offers international club listings, news and reviews, plus photos from its community and its staff. There are also travel agent, dating and ticketing spin-offs. The combined entity is targeting 18-to-25s with advertising.
