US military leaders may take a dim view of troops using social networks while on operations, but their British counterparts have no such concerns. The US Marine Corp this week issued an order (via Wired.com) banning the use of Twitter, Facebook and the rest, but now HM Government issues its own order (full pdf file) saying squaddies Twittering is fine as long as no one reveals anything classified.
