Earnings: Activision Delays Two Games; Matches Analysts’ Expectations

Activision (NSDQ: ATVI) matched analysts’ expectations for the quarter, but the gaming giant said it was delaying the release of two games — Singularity and StarCraft II — into 2010 and therefore cut its outlook for its fiscal year. The company also said there was “uncertainty regarding” whether its blockbuster World of Warcraft game would relaunch in China.
