We’ve reported about Android netbooks for a while, and made it clear we’re not sure if anyone really wants one. Acer first announced it would produce what would likely be the first Android netbook, then explained it really meant it would dual-boot with Windows. This week the company admitted that it was moving the Android book back due to low demand. Now the company is stating that the mysterious Android netbook (dual-boot variety, we assume) really is on track for a release in third quarter of this year. It’s beginning to sound like Acer is a little unsure about Android, in spite of its earlier statements.
