4oD: C4’s VOD strand has beaten iPlayer to social recommendation. It’s testing Test Tube Telly – a combo of 4oD with Facebook Connect that tells Facebook friends which C4 shows you’re watching. Aggregators Joost and Boxee have broadcaster-wide social viewing feeds. Via Platform4.

BBC web show: BBC Two is making Digital Revolution, a much-needed new show on the big issues of how the web is affecting society. There’s a healthy dollop of the usual “social” around it, but producer Russell Barnes writes: “We don’t want this to be one medium reflecting on another from a safe distance. BlackBerry music: Music retailer and white-label store 7Digital will in September launch an app via BlackBerry App World. Via FT.com.
