StatShot: Twitter Still Taken With True Blood

I’ll admit that the second season of True Blood is an improvement on the first (now if they would just get rid of Sookie), which helps explain why the campy-vampy show is all the talk on Twitter (as reported by Trendrr). True Blood scored a big bump in the middle of last week, racking up more than 133,000 Twitter posts in one day. But Heroes stole True Blood‘s thunder a bit by scoring nearly 140,000 posts on the same day (what was going on with that show?).

We wrote earlier today that the director’s cut of the upcoming Watchmen Blu-ray/DVD release was leaked to BitTorrent sites, and it shot straight to No. 1 on TorrentFreak’s list of the Most Pirated Movies on BitTorrent. Hopefully, the new content in this version will make the movie better. And while we’re on the topic of early releases, the Val Kilmer/50 Cent flick Streets of Blood was supposed to be released directly to DVD at the end of this month, but more than 500,000 people have already downloaded it.

TorrentFreak’s Most Pirated Movies on BitTorrent As of July 5, 2009

TorrentFreak data is based on http downloads of .torrent files from various BitTorrent sites. The data is collected by TorrentFreak and is for informational and educational reference only. Currently, DVDrips, DVD Screeners and R5 rips are counted. The “back” designation means that the title was in the list before and has reappeared, possibly in a new format.
