Dell to Produce Wasabi Inkless Printer- No Sushi Required

printer-pz310-design1I remember first hearing about the Zero-Ink technology a couple of years ago. This inkless technology was designed to print photos using special paper, sort of a Polaroid instant photo replacement. I haven’t heard much about the technology but it’s about to get a jolt as Dell is now producing the Wasabi printer for use with mobile phones and cameras.

The Wasabi printer is $149 and uses special ZINK paper which comes in packs of 12 adhesive-backed sheets. The printer can produce a print in 55 seconds and will print 15 sheets per charge of the battery. The Wasabi offers both USB and Bluetooth connectivity, although not all phones support the latter.
