Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) started reporting limited iPhone shortages on Friday in 29 of its 257 stores across the country, according to IFOAppleStore, a website that closely watches Apple’s retail business (via Fortune).
Shortages are only reported on Apple’s website in times of scarcity. The site, which was last seen in the summer of 2008, shows exactly which versions of the phones are sold out where. As of this weekend, there were shortages in all states, but it seemed that the 16 GB model in white is most affected. To check availability near you, visit Apple’s web site here. Of course, this only takes into account Apple stores and not availability in AT&T (NYSE: T) locations.
