Industry Moves: Newsweek.com; NBC News; Fairchild; NPR; Cellufun

Newsweek: We reported last week on Newsweek.com editor Will Tacy leaving. Now the WaPo owned newsweekly has appointed Devin Gordon as editor of Newsweek.com and Bret Begun as Scope Editor. More here.

NBC News: Andrew Heyward, the former CBS (NYSE: CBS) News President, who had been working in digital media through his consultancy Marketspace, has started consulting with NBC News. He will be working with NBC News President Steve Capus and NBC News Senior Vice President Alexandra Wallace on several programming and news gathering initiatives, according to Observer.

Fairchild Fashion Group: The Conde Nast-owned fashion publishing division has appointed current VP of multimedia for Conde Nast Media Group, Lisa Ryan Howard, as the Chief Revenue Officer for Fairchild. Howard previously oversaw digital integration and strategic multimedia sales and marketing and she previously worked as publisher for Style.com and Men.Style.com. More here.

NPR: Mark Stencel will be joining the public broadcaster as the new Managing Editor, Digital News starting July 20. He is currently the Executive Editor and Deputy Publisher of Governing magazine and Governing.com, part of the Congressional Quarterly group. Before that, he was Managing Editor, Newsroom at CQ.

Cellufun: Andy Bishop has joined Cellufun, the mobile social gaming startup, as VP of biz dev. He was previously VP of Mobile Entertainment at Sony (NYSE: SNE) Pictures Television, where he created a national multi-media partnership with AT&T (NYSE: T) and TV Broadcaster Telemundo to launch the telenovela “Zorro – La Espada Y La Rosa.” He has also worked at Walt Disney Internet Group (NYSE: DIS), Digital Entertainment Network and Palm (NSDQ: PALM).
