Clearwire Buys Spectrum From Oneida For Undisclosed Amount

Clearwire

Clearwire (NSDQ: CLWR) has purchased some assets from Oneida Communications, including the rights to some airwaves in the U.S., according to Catalyst Investors and Northwood Ventures. The two investors were using the Oneida company to purchase spectrum in 2006, to eventually take advantage of the upcoming 4G network roll-outs. Last year, Oneida sold most of its licenses to Sprint (NYSE: S) Nextel. Specifics of the deal were not disclosed, including how much Clearwire paid and how much it was acquiring.
