AdMeld Raises $8 Million Second Round

Online advertising continues to struggle, but ad optimizer AdMeld will push forward with its expansion plans, now that it has raised an $8 million second round. The round was led by led by previous backers Spark Capital and Foundry Group, and brings New York-based AdMeld’s total funding to $15 million to date. The company, which named former *Fox Interactive Media* and *AOL* exec Michael Barrett as its first CEO in November, also opened London office recently. It’s now looking to add to its sales and marketing team and to create more products. The company’s main pitch is that it helps publishers increase their ad revenue and lower costs. Release
