New media developer Fanzter, which runs the celebrity, style and entertainment platform Coolspotters, has acquired iPhone app creator Mustache. Terms were not disclosed, but the transaction involved a combination of cash and stock, Aaron LaBerge, Fanzter’s CEO and co-founder, told us. The deal follows Fanzter’s $2 million second-round funding in March. The round was led by Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) investment arm Steamboat Ventures and Second Avenue Partners. The acquisition will help speed up the release of Fanzter’s second product, which LaBerge said would focus on sports and entertainment. As part of the agreement with the Richmond, Va.-based Mustache, the company’s founder Jon Maddox will join Collinsville, Conn.-based Fanzter as VP for Technology and Product Development.
