Friday Fun: “Don’t Call Me Liz!”

An email thread that started when a lobbyist tried to get ahold of an assistant to a member of the U.S. House has been making the rounds in political circles and those amused by extreme uptightness. The gist: One Elizabeth Becton, scheduling secretary to Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., does NOT like to be addressed as “Liz.”

Now, Keith Olbermann and Co. have executed what may be the most terrible dramatization of all time (of the email exchange). Please, Washington, don’t give him any more slow news days.

Meanwhile, you can call me or our reviews editor “Liz” any time you like. But DON’T CALL US ELIZABETH.
