Updated: Online dating network Zoosk has raised $6 million in a third round led by existing investors, including Canaan Partners. The dating site claims 30 million users. It can be accessed via a Zoosk application on multiple social networks, including Facebook, MySpace, and Bebo, or from Zoosk.com. In a statement, the company said it would use the new funds to increase its market share as well as the size of its work force.
The company does not disclose revenues — which it generates from premium memberships, advertising, as well as the sale of virtual goods — but it says it surpasses that of “multiple publicly traded online dating companies in the U.S.” The company raised $4 million in a second round last June from Canaan as well as ATA Ventures.
