Lead Gen Firm AdEx Closes $2.3 Million Private Placement

imageOTC-traded lead-gen company AdEx Media has completed a $2.3 million financing. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company, which offers pay-for-performance and lead-gen services, closed a private placement in which AdEx raised the financing through the issuance of 1.9 million shares of series A preferred stock and warrants to unspecified institutional investors. The company plans to use the proceeds from the financing to expand its product line and to ramp up its marketing efforts.

Last September, AdEx bought lead gen provider Bay Harbor Marketing and “how-to” CD course company Digital Instructor, as the company sought to broaden its affiliate marketing suite. Release
