MashLogic Raises $500,000 From Angel Investors

MashLogic has raised $500,000 in an angel round from investors including founder Scott Kurnit, Wikia CEO Gil Penchina and Bessemer Venture Partners. Kurnit — who is talking at our EconAffinity conference in New York City this morning — will join the company’s board. MashLogic offers an add-on for Firefox and Internet Explorer that lets users see additional content from third-party sites while surfing the web. For instance, if a user selects Wikipedia as a site that they are interested in, hovering over a proper name on a web page might surface a pop up with the Wikipedia entry for that individual. Release via peHub.
