Actually, you don’t even need to tell Amazon what you think about this deal: one cent is all it takes to purchase a shiny, new Nokia E71x smartphone today. This phone made a splash at the recent CTIA Wireless show when Nokia announced a low $99 price tag for the S60 handset. It’s one of the first, if not the first, E-series phones that AT&T is subsidizing down from the $399 full price. While that deal is helpful to consumers, not to mention the Nokia brand in the U.S, this phone for a penny is practically a steal. Check the fine print on Amazon’s site, though: If you cancel the required new contract early, you’ll be paying back quite a chunk of change.
In case you’ve missed the E71x in the past, this handset is pretty loaded in terms of specs: QWERTY keypad, GPS, HSDPA 3G support, 3.2-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi.
