One more high-level resignation for *Google*. Tom Phillips, Google’s director of search and analytics is out. MediaMemo links his departure to sales chief Tim Armstrong’s defection to *AOL*, but there are some indications that Phillips may have already been on his way out: he most recently headed up Google’s Print Ads program (which the company pulled the plug on in January), and he also helped oversee the integration of DoubleClick (which has since been accomplished). There’s not much insight into where Phillips is headed — other than the fact that he won’t be joining Armstrong at AOL (NYSE: TWX). The company told MediaMemo that it had “no plans” to bring him on board.
