New political ad network Resonate Networks said today it had raised $2 million in a first round of funding. The company has an ad network built for political and public-affairs advertising, and says its service can target viewers based on their views on key public-policy issues. Alexander Gage, who led George W. Bush’s voter targeting effort in the 2004 campaign, and Democratic strategist Harold Ickes (pictured, right) have invested in the startup. Co-founder Sara Taylor, meanwhile, is a former White House political director under Bush. Release.
