Web analytics company SeeWhy has raised $4.5 million in a second round of funding, bringing total funds raised to date to $9 million. Government-funded Scottish Enterprise led the round with participation from existing investors Logispring, Pentech Ventures and Delta Partners. SeeWhy provides analytics to websites to help them retain visitors who tend to leave after brief visits. The company primarily works with e-commerce sites eager to find a way to keep consumers who have started the checkout process but wind up abandoning it before a purchase is made, a common challenge for e-commerce companies.
