imageDiscovery Networks: Kathy Toher is the new director of international advertising across EMEA, excluding the UK, for Discovery Networks Europe. She moves over from classical music download site Passionato, where she was head of advertising sales and promotion since its launch last year. Last month former MD of UK channels for Universal NBC Martin Heaton-Cooper was appointed head of UK ad sales for Discovery (NSDQ: DISAB). From Mediaweek.

MEN Media: Sarah Hartley, MEN Media’s head of online editorial, has left the company after eight years. A well-regarded figure in regional media, Hartley was responsible for the development of the Manchester Online lifestyle portal and Manchestereveningnews.co.uk as well as the MEN’s roster of blogs, such as Mancunian Way which yesterday announced its closure. As Hartley writes on her blog, she has an exciting web project lined up, due to launch in June.

BSkyB: A new role for broadcast BSkyB: David Murdin is the company’s first director of sports and marketing. Joining from British Airways, Murdin will look after brand strategy for Sky Sports and Sky News both on and offline. Sky also makes Corin Dimopoulos director of brand marketing for cycling across Sky Sports and Sky News. Via Marketing Week.
