One of the biggest announcements out of the CTIA Wireless show was that AT&T was going to subsidize the Nokia E71x smartphone. While pricing was announced at $99 after all rebates and contract, there was no word on availability. If Matt Miller’s information is correct, then I’d expect to see this hot handheld in about two weeks time.

Over at the Nokia Experts blog, Matt has half-a-dozen Nokia E71x PDF document leaks and the expected date of May 4th. That gives you time to peruse the PDFs to see if the Nokia E71x will meet your needs. You’ve got a bunch of reading to do because everything you want to know about the device is in there: the datasheet, Getting Started Guide, User Guide, FAQs, Tips and Tricks, plus (as an added bonus!) the Job Aid to help AT&T employees sell the phone.

The E71x has the same form factor as the E63 I’m using, although it’s a little smaller and offers a more solid metal case. It also offers a higher resolution camera sensor, integrated GPS and support for AT&T’s 3G HSDPA network.
