Audio book and ebook distributor OverDrive is looking to expand its list of UK clients to match the rising tide of popularity for digital reads in the UK. The company provides ebook services and distribution for Penguin, Random House, Hachette Livre and HarperCollins among others and in February won the contract to distribute 1,500 audiobooks from BBC Worldwide to 8,500 schools and libraries throughout the UK and abroad. Now the Cleveland, Ohio-based firm, which started life as a CD-ROM maker in the mid 1980s, says it’s looking to add more British companies to its list of clients. OverDrive CEO Steve Potash is speaking at the London Book Fair next week on a Sony-sponsored session on digital reading. Release.
