RockeTalk, a free social networking application for mobile phones that lets users chat, form communities, download and share files, has tied up with Indiatimes to power its India-centric content as well as collaborate on ad sales. Users in India can download the RockeTalk application using Indiatimes’ 58888 short code. “While RockeTalk can now reach out to the readymade pool of the vast Indiatimes network, the latter will have an add-on to its content sharing services,” said Sunil Rajshekhar, COO, Times Internet Ltd. The partnership will work on a revenue share model.
From a statement: “To begin with, TIL will provide both premium content (RT, Wall paper, Videos, Full length songs, Games, Packs, Photo Gallery) and text content (Jokes, Shaayari, News, Horoscopes, Cricket, Greetings, Search (Ask service). Subsequently, TIL will also provide content of Contests, Financial news, sports, Dating, Deals, Q&A, Search, Jobs, Simply marry, classifieds.”
