Kindle Competitors to get Wireless Connectivity

amazon-kindleAmazon’s Kindle has been pretty successful as e-book readers go, and that’s largely due to the Kindle’s ability to get e-books wirelessly. Amazon has done a good job making the Kindle talk to their store and network making sure that the reader is not just another isolated device.

Amazon may soon be getting some competition in this area as indicated by Verizon Wireless. A company rep has indicated that five different companies have been in conversations with Verizon to bring wireless connectivity to their e-book readers. Verizon didn’t name names, but it’s certainly good news that five different companies are looking into the wireless feature.
