Vinay Agarwal Steps Down As Dish TV CEO; No Replacement Yet

imageVinay Agarwal has stepped down as CEO of Essel Group’s direct-to-home service provider Dish TV India Ltd, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. He has joined TVS Interconnect Systems Ltd, a business-to-business manufacturer and service provider in the telecom space, as CEO and president. Agarwal joined Dish TV in June 2008, prior to which, he was president (abrasives) with Grindwell Norton, a Saint-Gobain Group company. Dish TV was not immediately looking for a replacement, a company source said.

“During his tenure, the organization consolidated its position of the country’s largest DTH platform, which today carries 225 channels and enjoys approx 5 million subscribers on its platform,” the company said in the filing.
