The Android platform continues to grow with the release of a new app almost every day, or at least that what’s it seems like. The folks behind Palringo, an IM app that handles virtually all major IM services, have released a free version for the Android platform.
Palringo brings the ability to work with a lot of IM services, Google Talk, Facebook, Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, MSN and ICQ, among others. Palringo lets you send group messages to multiple IM services and runs in the background on the Android phone, notifying you when messages arrive. The app is location-aware, allowing you to share your current whereabouts with your buddies and also to see if any are close to you. The Android version lets users snap a photo with the phone camera and instantly send it to others via IM.
Palringo for Android is available through the Android Market. Full press release can be found here.
