Mobile Content Bits: YouTube App; PhotoBucket On T-Mobile USA; Ebuddy Downloads; PlayPhone Program

imageYouTube on Windows Mobile and Symbian: Despite Google’s own efforts to build its own operating system, the company obviously still sees two other platforms having a valuable user base. The company said that it has build specific YouTube application downloads for both Windows Mobile and some Symbian Series 60 phones, Google (NSDQ: GOOG) reported on its YouTube Blog today. Google claims the application makes starting up, searching and video loading 90 percent faster. allows the application to start up 90 percent faster. Photobucket on T-Mobile USA: Photo-sharing site Photobucket said its mobile application is now being used by T-Mobile, which allows people to send their camera phone pics to their account online, or to their PC or email address. The app will cost the user a one-time price of $20 after a 21-day trial. Even once the trial expires, users can continue using the free version to upload only to Photobucket, while the premium version also gives users the ability to send photos to their home PC or to any email address. eBuddy hits 10 million downloads on GetJar: eBuddy, which makes a mobile messaging service, has achieved 10 million downloads of the its social networking app over the GetJar web site. eBuddy is using GetJar’s pay-per-download advertising service, which is designed to raise its viability among visitors to the site. eBuddy has held the No. 1 download spot on GetJar for 34 weeks.

PlayPhone launches mobile content for everyone: San Jose, Calif.-based PlayPhone said it has launched a “Global Partner Program,” which allows partners of all size, ranging from large web portals to bloggers, to sell ringtones, video, games and other mobile content. Digital Chocolate claims 8 million iPhone downloads: Mobile Game company Digital Chocolate says that the company’s five games — which have only been available on the iTunes App store for less than 100 days — have been downloaded more than 8 million times. Three of its games, including Crazy Penguin Catapult, Tower Bloxx, and Brick Breaker Revolution, have been ranked as the No. 1 overall app on the App Store. Through the end of the month, the company is putting all five games on sale for $2.99 apiece. Release.
