Broadband Content Bits: Perform's Equestrian Rights; Sony Ericsson Video; Channel 4 Music Site Shut

imagePerform: Sports-rights distributor Perform has signed a three-year online-content deal with the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), the global governing body for equestrian sports. Perform now has the rights to “develop, promote and monetise” the FEI’s new site, www.feitv.org, which will show eight equestrian disciplines such as show jumping and dressage both live and via VOD, on a subscription-only basis.

Sony (NYSE: SNE) Ericsson: Mobile handset maker Sony Ericsson (NSDQ: ERIC) has signed a content deal with Player X to show a range of videos on its mobile portal. Customers across Europe with a Sony Ericsson phone will be able to watch whole movies including Hellboy.
