1Cast, the Kirkland, Wash.-based mobile video service, plans to announced the long list of content partners it has lined up for its service. Sources include: CNBC, The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, Reuters, Agence France-Presse, Bloomberg and CBC. The service offers free news clips over on the iPhone and T-Mobile G1. The smartphone application allows users to browse the news by top headlines or by the source. They can also create personalized video playlists, the company calls “Micro-Casts,” that can be shared with friends through email or on blogs, social networks and other web portals using a video player from 1Cast. Ads appear while the video is loading or after the clip has played. Users can click a link to go to the advertisers’ mobile site.
