Bharti Airtel: New Deputy CEO Sanjay Kapoor To Head Telemedia, DTH

In top-level leadership shuffle at Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom company by subscribers, Sanjay Kapoor has been elevated to a newly created position of deputy CEO, overseeing mobile, DTH and Telemedia businesses. Kapoor was president, mobile services. Atul Bindal, who was president, telemedia services, will now be president, mobile services. K. Srinivas has been named president of the telemedia business. Bharti’s triple play efforts are led by the telemedia division. “New business verticals such as M-commerce and M-entertainment etc. are being created to generate new revenue streams,” the company said in a statement.

The statement said that CEO and joint MD, Manoj Kohli, will increasingly focus on strategy development, governance and organisation development.

ET reports that Kohli sold his entire stake in the telecom major in two transactions this month, leading to speculation that he might be leaving the firm.

    i am daksh garg from haryana.i am a privileged airtel customer.my number 09996168624 has been banned from airtel 2 days before with no reasons.on contacting them they are not able to give any satisfactory answer.
    this number is very important to me as i get all my interview calls on this number.

Hi Sanjay sir, I am Sunil Chowdhary and My Airtel STB ID : 0036032776006174 from 3rd September 2010 my connection is disconnected till date and many times i called up to customer care and also sent mail but they were not doing anything and after that i contact to nodal office, again the same response nothing they were doing. I am very much anoid from your services airtel is a brand name that’s why we choose this but thing is different here i must agree airtel service is very poor it’s pathetic. Every time new people picked the call and take all the details but no solution?Last option is left to approach TRAI and Consumer Court .

    Airtel don’t think about their customers at all .

    I want issue would be resolved on high priority.

    Please help me out on urgent basis.

    Hi Sanjay, my account number is 3005059159. I am extremely disappointed by Aitel DTH installation services. I have recorded my complaint 5 times and of that once I have got a call from your engineer and to further dismay that they will not install the cable through communication conduit in my building and that I have to use my own electrician for that. They have left the cable hanging outside the building and running into the house via balcony. I live in a condominium and it looks pathetic. Fyi Tata Sky & others are installing using the communication duct. Hope airtel exhibits modesty and listen to customer voice ! Anand Balkrishnan 9686690807

    My name is Vinothraj P, I am an airtel customer for past two years with the number 9790909123 and before that 9894210042.

    My number was barred before couple of months for not paying the outstanding.
    Unfortunately because of my personal reason i could not pay in time. But on 22.08.10 i have cleared my outstanding amount 3066.(With LatePayment FEES)

    Mr Ramesh from punjab called me regarding this and i promised to pay the bill on the above date which i did.
    I made the payment through card.
    Mr ramesh promised me that my number will be activated in 48 hrs maximum.
    He asked me to buy a new duplicate sim and made note of that sim no. He also mentioned that i dont have to pay any more

    But till date my number is not activated
    and when i try to call him back he doesnt picks up the call.

    than i called chennai airtel post paid customer care and raised a complaint regarding this……

    Of course as Usual ….No use…

    than again i raised complaint on 25.08.10…..No use…

    my complaint no is ….33686852..then called back on 30.08.10……Mr jagan dropped my call….called back again on same date, floor supervisor Saravanan said issue will be resolved on or before 01.09.10. Now today 31.08.10 by 8 pm i got call from Airtel and they says that i have to give proof and Rs 331 for activation…unfortunatel i dont have any govt authorised proof at present, but i am also using Airtel broadband connection which is in my name, and they dont want to accept that…..
    I have suffered Hell lot ….There are lot of issues which u can clearly understand if u barge my call..

    My Senthil Balan from chennai, looking for a Airtel broadband connection. Approached the airtel customer service executing (sapana – chennai); and got to know the required documents. (My Id proof driving licence, passport copy and ration card or house agreement) I have kept all the documents with signature attested on the copies.
    One Executive (Raj) approached my house stating he is from airtel and asked for documents. We have provided the documents to him but, he stated ration card is not accepted for airtel broadband connection; please provide us with some govt recognised document.
    Again we told, ok if ration card is not accepted can i provide your the electricity bills or govt tax bills. He disagreed to get rather asking for Gas bills.
    I just want to know why (Ration card/EB/House tax) not considered as Tamilnadu Govt, recognised documents? Is this the way Airtel works or is airtel missing few customers due to unexperience executives.

    i am a customer of airtel my customer id is 3003771792. we recharged for south economy package (10 months +2 months free) for which we called up customer service on 5 th of august and the customer care executive had confirmed that the pack was available for rs2206. on 7th of august after the top up was done we called up customer care to update our package and we were suprised to know we had 397 negetive balance. the customer care executive said that the pack was not available and we had to update for 12 months +2 months free offer by paying 397 rs more. when we took up the issue with mr mahesh airtel staff chennai we came to know that the south economy pack(10 months +2months free) was available till 9 th of august.
    we were denied this offer as the airtel staff had wrongly updated our package for (12 months +2months ) offer and our connection was cut. we expressed our anguish to m mahesh he had accepted that it was the mistake on aitel staff and agreed to resume our connection on 14th of august. but again on 15th of august our connection was cut.
    we are deeply distressed and upset by the way airtel is treating thier customers. i request you to take immediate action sir. we are very upst that airtel has been so unfair to us.

    Your sales person comes & tell something & after connection it happens something.I told I want internet wifi connetion in my 2 floors.For which I have said you give me one router the others I will put though my tecnisian.Know the person has given me a router which donot support.Know from 7 months I am stuck.but now he is not ready to come & talk to your own technisian

IM REALLY SORRY TO SAY THAT THE SERVICES PROVIDED TO US BY YOUR COMPANY IS VERY POOR AND IRRESPONSIBLE AND THE PEOPLE WORKING UNDER YOUR COMPANY DO NOT RESPOND IN THE RIGHT MANNER. EVEN AFTER 72 HOURS OF COMPLAIN NOBODY BOTHERS TO RESPOND OR HELP US OUT. WE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING FROM A LONG TIME BUT WE HAVE BEEN GETTING ONLY FALSE PROMISES.   14. Most stupid telecommunication co. ever i am associated with, i had a number of airtel ages back which is now closed and all of a sudden they send me a legal letter and when i call to the associates number (Saroosh Karvinkar 9223214168) he uses abusive language.
    If this is how you work then i have a doubt of your costomer satisfaction.
    its a shame that i was a customer of airtel. the co where people who dont know the way to talk to the customer is a wasteful company. please satisfy your prospect CLOSE THE COMPANY……

    I am V.krishnan and i am air tel customer for the past several years. i have four air tel connections, in that one is prepaid (the number is 9008883005). 50 days back simply your people deactivated my pre paid number without any messege or any prior information. The reason for the deactivation I was told from Airtel Department that:if you are not made any calls or sms or any recharges for more then 45 days the number will be deactivated.

    But what is the system airtel is having i don’t know, because i used to make calls each and every day and making recharges two to three times in a month.

    After registered So many complaints for the same with the customer care people no one is responded in this regard,

    And now the same number is activated to some other person. This is the customer service air tel is providing, and each and every day any one customer care people is asking about the airtel services, if i tell somthing about my problem they simply tell ” i will get back to you with in 24 hours” after that there is no further actions.

    Just Airtel Cellular Services in India, is cheating the customers like anything.
    And in these cheating ways, now they are feeling proud to announce that they are having 100000000 customers in India. But they dont know that, they reached that goal in a shameful manner and by cheating the customers.

    Iâm Feeling very shame to be one among those customers of Airtel.

    All STD Call Charges: Rs.1.00 INR per minute
    All National SMS Charges: Rs.0.50 INR per minute
    All Local SMS Charges: Rs.0.05 INR per message

    Based on the above received information (commitment), I migrated to Postpaid and then my Bill got generated as per below:

    All STD Call Charges: Rs.1.50 INR per minute
    All National SMS Charges: Rs.1.50 INR per minute
    All Local SMS Charges: Rs.0.50 INR per message

    So many emails I sent to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]. But no one is responding with regard to wrong commitment, Whilst I was getting the information regarding the bill plan (Which has no meaning for my email).

    Just Airtel Cellular Services in India, is cheating the customers like anything.
    And in these cheating ways, now they are feeling proud to announce that they are having 100000000 customers in India. But they don’t know that, they reached that goal in a shameful manner and by cheating the customers.
