The number of people watching video on their mobile phones in Q4 grew at a faster rate than those viewing it on the internet, according to a new Nielsen survey looking at U.S. consumer video viewing habits across television, the internet and mobile devices. Moreover, as testament to the growing desire of consumers to watch video when and how they want, this 9 percent jump in the number of users viewing mobile video to 11 million, was only matched by the rise in viewers who accessed video on digital video recorders.
