Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) has added some functionality to its oneSearch service — starting with voice search, less than a week after Google added it to the G1. Secondly, there’s an auto-locate feature available on certain devices so that Yahoo can return local search results based on a combination of cell tower triangulation and Wi-Fi hotspots, obviating the need for users to type in their address and or zip code. Yahoo has also updated its predictive text so it is based on previous searches. As you type in your query your recent searches will display on the screen as a prompt. It has also been expanded to Windows Mobile devices in the US. More on the Yahoo Search Blog.
