Motorola (NYSE: MOT) launched an LTE trial network lab in Swindon, UK, with the intention of offering operators the ability to engage in LTE field trials and test equipment. Motorola can also host the core elements of the LTE network for operators that require a hosted LTE trial in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). In Britain the LTE services are likely to be rolled out on the 2.6 GHz spectrum that the government plans to auction later this year. LTE is part of Motorola’s home and networks mobility section.
