A sign of life from IAC’s oft-forgotten search engine Ask.com: Ask has acquired Sendori, a domain-based search advertising platform, for an undisclosed sum. Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Sendori’s exchange lets advertisers bid on traffic that goes directly to undeveloped domains, giving domain owners an alternative to serving up a page full of links; it claims more than 130,000 advertisers use the service. The acquisition bulks up search volume across Ask’s network, though Sendori will still operate separately as a subsidiary of IAC (NSDQ: IACI). Release.
