– Tiscali: Italian ISP Tiscali has appointed its Luca Scano MD of its Italian division. Scano will keep his current job as CFO of Tiscali Italia and will report to its CEO Mario Rosso. Tiscali had 3.1 million subscribers in the UK and Italy as of 30 September last year and details of a strategic plan are expected in the coming weeks. Release.
— Viacom: Channel 4’s agency sales head Duncan McCrum has been appointed head of digital at Viacom (NYSE: VIA) Brand Solutions, the internal sales house for MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and Paramount Comedy. He joins after almost two years at Channel 4 and will be responsible for integrating sales staff across online, mobile and TV — last year VBS integrated online and broadcast sales staff. — Guardian: Guardian News & Media has promoted current digital executive Sara Linfoot to a new role of digital innovation manager, with a brief to develop commercial opportunities online. Linfoot has spent seven years with GNM, most recently heading the online sponsorship team. – Discovery Networks UK: Dan Brooke will step down as VP and MD of Discovery Networks UK after four years with the broadcaster.
