Industry Moves: OWN; MTV-VH1; Peerset; Paramount; Universal; Newseum

Oprah Winfrey Network: Liz Dolan has signed on as CMO for OWN, effective January 2009. Most recently, she headed up marketing at NIKE and in 2001, created talk radio show “Satellite Sisters” with her four sisters. In her new capacity, Dolan will be responsible for all on-air, print, radio and online marketing.

*MTV* and VH1: Richard Gay has been promoted to EVP-strategy and operations for MTV and VH1, having previously held a similar position for VH1 and CMT. While he will be adding MTV duties to his VH1 role, his CMT responsibilities will be assumed by Suzanne Norman, SVP-business operations and strategy for CMT.

Peerset: Social media exec Mike “JB” John-Baptiste joins Peerset as CEO and will also serve on its board of directors. Chetan Mathur, who led the search for this post, will remain executive chairman of the tech company. John-Baptiste comes from End2End Solutions, a digital sports ad social media marketing agency he founded, where he was president. Release.
