Print Round-Up: Indie-DMGT Move-In; Johnston Job Cuts; ThisIsLondon Fashion

Indie-DMGT: The Independent might have to wait just a little longer to get its hands on the keys to DMGT’s London HQ, where the paper will be based following an office-sharing deal sealed in the last few weeks. Independent News & Media will now reportedly wait until March or April to move its 430 staff into Northcliffe House. Space issues and the fact that the Indie’s lease on its current Marsh Wall home in Canary Wharf isn’t up until 2015 could be to blame. From Guardian.co.uk.

Johnston Press: Johnston Press is exporting its cost-cutting exercises over the water to its Northern Ireland titles, where a minimum of eight staff will be made redundant – though the National Union of Journalists says the toll could be as many as 31. Johnston publishes the Derry Journal, The News Letter and series of weeklies north of the border and will centralise production for all of them at its Craigavon HQ. Via Belfast Telegraph.

Evening Standard: The Evening Standard‘s website ThisIsLondon is to launch a fashion e-tail section using a white label service from fashion site LynkU. High street names like Marks & Spencer and Miss Selfridge have signed up to sell their wares on the site. Via BrandRepublic.com.
