VC Watch: MyOnID Funded, Evernote Bags $5 Million

MyOnID The Munich-based web people search engine has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Deutsche Telekom’s T-Online Venture Fund. MyOnID aggregates user profiles from across social networks, blogs, websites and media sharing services. Though German, it this year launched local-language versions in Britain, Spain, Italy, France, Holland, Poland and Turkey.

Evernote The Sunnyvale, California-based web- and app-based personal info storage service has raised a $5 million second funding round from Russia

Myonid is nothing special. The design is ok, but that is the only good thing, really. All style but no substance. Naymz gives far better search results. There is a new service called Trackur which is much better in my opinion.
