PeerApp has closed its second round of $8 million, bringing its total amount raised to $11 million. The financing comes from existing investors, Pilot House Ventures, Cedar Fund and Evergreen Venture Capital, who had participated in the first round of $3 million in January. PeerApp helps ISPs and content providers manage their peer-to-peer and HTTP video traffic. The Newton, MA-based company, which has offices in Florida, UK, Israel and Singapore, will use the funds to expand its sales and marketing operations.
