Things have certainly come far for NGTV, which was once considered too risque to be on mainstream TV: Gene Simmons’ No Good TV (NGTV), which has had money problems in the past, has a new financial backer in reality-TV powerhouse Mark Burnett Productions. Variety reports that Burnett has taken an equity stake in NGTV and will help port some of its Web series to TV. Burnett is no stranger to the online content development space, having invested in projects like AOL’s game show Gold Rush and MSN’s RockStar:INXS reality show. The first joint project is a half-hour pilot starring Internet sensation Carrie Keagan. Burnett said they’re shopping her raunchy, celebrity talk show as a potential late night cable or network TV series.
