Another unlimited DRM-free music service from a carrier – sort of. Vivendi-Vodafone-owned French telco SFR is planning to roll out a DRM-free unlimited music service on November 19, though the actual number of tracks is limited to a few thousand hits from the Universal Music Group catalog. The tracks – limited to three genres including Rap-R&B, Pop-Rock, and Clubbing-Electro – will be available in AAC format on mobiles and in MP3 on PCs, and subscribers will be able to freely transfer music between devices.
