ITN Source Launches Distribution Arm For “Bizarre” Video Clips

Someone obviously watches them. ITN Source has launched Diagonal View, its joint venture with Matt Hieman, founder of mobile video platform provider Mobix Interactive, to distribute “bizarre” video clips. As NMA.co.uk reports the broadcaster is hoping to distribute the more “obscure” content from its 1 million-hour archive to sites such as YouTube, DailyMotion and MySpace. Apparently, a six-monh trial with content including a car-flipping contest, a two-headed snake, and a race between football mascots amassed over 40 million views and 300,000 comments. Not so bizarre, then, to want to exploit that.
