We are continuing with our editorial expansion plans and as part of that, very pleased to announce that Ernie Sander has joined our company as Managing Editor, a new position for ContentNext. Ernie joins us from The Wall Street Journal, where he was the deputy editor in the Media and Technology Group. In this role, Ernie co-managed a 15-person reporting group that covers major media and technology companies ranging from *Time Warner*, NBC and *News Corp*. to *AT&T* and *Comcast*. He previously served as a senior editor in The Journal’s Weekend Group and, before that, was managing editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal’s Personal Journal section.
Ernie will be based in our New York City office, and will manage our growing coterie of journalists spread across various geographies, will be in charge of news flow on our sites, editorial development and hiring, and will help in strategic expansion of our editorial mandate. He says about us: “ContentNext Media and paidContent.org have carved out an impressive niche — they have very smart people writing for them and a hugely loyal following. It’s tough to do in a fast-changing media landscape, but that’s exactly what Rafat and his team have pulled off.” We’re very pleased to have him on board. You can contact him at ernie AT contentnext.com. (Full press release after the jump.)
One of his first tasks: to fill several positions, including openings for two financial journalists in New York, a journalist in Silicon Valley and an editor and journalist in India.
Earlier this week, we welcomed Lauren Rich Fine as our new Research Director; also, this month, Patrick Smith and Tameka Kee joined us as UK Correspondent and West Coast Correspondent, respectively. And we’ve been remiss in not mentioning the recent addition of the very busy Rachelle Crum as our Editorial Events Programmer.
