The iPint application on the App Store has been caught in a legal tussle between developer and beer maker, AdAge reports. iBeer developer Hottrix alleges the Carling-branded iPint application is a near copy of their application and was only made after Hottrix rejected a request to develop the application for them. Hottrix filed a $12.5 million lawsuit against Molson Coors Brewing Co. in Los Angeles County on Friday, claiming the free iPint application dramatically cut into sales of the iBeer look-alike.
